My First Experience with Chiropractics

“My first introduction to the world of chiropractics was when I was a little boy. I had a high fever and the medicine I was given wasn’t calming my fever. My parents were referred by friends to take me to their chiropractor. When I met the chiropractor he told my parents that he found the problem in my back and was going to adjust my spine. After my adjustment, the chiropractor told my parents that my fever would “break” by the time I got home. It worked!!

“This experience had a great impact on my life and years later I decided that I wanted to become a chiropractor myself.”

“While I was attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania working on my athletic training degree I was introduced to a chiropractor. I was very impressed by the knowledge and skill that the chiropractor possessed. I saw how she was able to help her patients with an adjustment and I knew I wanted to do the same.

“After I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania I attended Life Univesity of Chiropractic in Georgia to pursue a degree in chiropractic. During my five years at Life University, I took courses such as biochemistry, with an emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, as well as x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques, and patient care. I chose to specialize in the Gonstead method, which is considered by a majority of the chiropractic community as the Gold Standard of chiropractic care. While I was in school I obtained certification in the Gonstead method where I was able to teach this method to other students. I also obtained certification from the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association to enable me to work with children in pediatrics. After graduation in 2002, I moved back to the Butler, PA area to establish my chiropractic practice.

“I met my beautiful wife, Shannon while I was attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania. We were married in the summer of 2000. We have four children; Isaac 21, Jordan 20, Addison 17, and Logan 13.

“My wife and I are youth leaders at our local church and we are actively involved in our children’s classes. I also enjoy golfing, lifting weights, and running. To be very honest with you, I just love spending time with my family.
