My First Experience with Chiropractic

“My first experience with chiropractic was when I was a little boy. I had a high fever and was not responding to the medicine I was given. My parents were told by friends of theirs to take me to a chiropractor. When I met the chiropractor he told my parents that he found a problem in my back and was going to adjust my spine. After my adjustment the chiropractor told my parents that my fever would “break” by the time I got home. It worked!

“This had a great impact on my life and years later I decided that I wanted to become a chiroprator.”

“While I was attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania working on my athletic training degree I was introduced to a chiropractor. I was very impressed by the knowledge and skill of the chiropractor. I saw how she was able to help her patients with an adjustment and I knew I wanted to do the same.

“After I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania I attended Life Univesity of Chiropractic in Georgia to pursue a degree in chiropractic. During my five years at Life University I took courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques, and patient care. I chose to specialize in the Gonstead method, which is considered the Gold Standard of chiropractic. While I was in school I obtained certification in the Gonstead method where I taught this method to other students. I also obtained certification in the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association to enable me to work with children. After graduation in 2002, I moved back to the Butler, PA area to establish my practice.

“I met my beautiful wife, Shannon while I was attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania. We were married in the summer of 2000. We have four children; Isaac 17, Jordan 16, Addison 13, and Logan 9.

“My wife and I are youth leaders at our local church and we are actively involved in our children’s classes. I also enjoy golfing, lifting weights, and running. To be very honest with you, I just love spending time with my family.
